Samia El-Moslimany and Fouad Dehlawi in happier
pre-Hayat Sindi days

Thanksgiving at the El-Moslimany-Dehlawi-Al Haddars

NOVEMBER 2010
At the invitation of Fouad Dehlawi, on November 24, 2010, Hayat Sindi came to stay at the Seattle home of husband and wife,  Fouad Dehlawi and Samia El-Moslimany. Sindi was a guest for the four-day Thanksgiving weekend.  Although she was married at the time, Sindi's husband, well-known business man, Ameer Said, did not accompany her.  Out of graciousness to her guest, Samia gave Sindi her bedroom, where Sindi slept in her bed. Sindi absolutely charmed Samia, her children, her mother, Ann El-Moslimany and their guests, and apparently Samia's husband, Fouad Dehlawi.

DECEMBER 2010
In December 2010, while still married to Ameer Said, and unbeknownst to Samia, Hayat Sindi and Fouad Dehlawi made secret arrangements to travel from Jeddah for a week to the romantic and famous Grandhotel Pupp Spa in the Czech Republic. At the last minute, they changed their plans, so that Fouad Dehlawi could attend his his son's engagement ceremony held in Malaysia. Fouad Dehlawi and Hayat Sindi delayed their spa vacation until January.

Dr. Hayat Sindi a Model Saudi Woman?

The actions of Dr. Hayat Sindi and Fouad Dehlawi that oppress Samia El-Moslimany and her family must be known.

Hayat Sindi in a relationship with Fouad Dehlawi, the husband of Samia El-Moslimany.  Hayat Sindi says, "You are strong; you are smart; you are intelligent, and you can also make breakthroughs. Society and science can be hand in hand. I had a dream as a child to make a difference, and it has all happened.”
On January 23, 2012,  Samia was summoned to the police station to respond to a complaint that had been filed against her by Hayat Sindi. Sindi  accused Samia over the past year of harassing and threatening Sindi and the man with whom she was involved in a “mashrou’a jawaz,” or, in the words of the officer, her fiancé (khateebha). When he was asked, the officer told Samia that Sindi's khateeb (fiancé), was none other than Fouad Dehlawi, Samia’s husband of twenty-eight years and the father of her children.

Fouad believes, "Work for this life as if you'll live forever,
work for the hereafter as if you'll die tomorrow."
The officer asked Samia to come and give her response, and to bring her Wali Amr (legal guardian), who was none other than her husband! In Saudi Arabia, women have limited self-determination. Women are forbidden from driving, may not travel, and may not marry without the permission of their legal guardian. Samia asked her husband to accompany her to the police station. From that day Fouad Dehlawi completely avoided her, ignoring her phone calls, text messages, emails and personal requests from his father. When Samia was unable to reach him for six days, she went alone, by herself, to the station and responded to the false accusations Hayat Sindi had made against her.
